CÁTALOGO

Aglonema

Features large, oval, and glossy leaves that grow on short stems.

Light:
It is famous for tolerating low light (especially the dark green varieties). However, it prefers medium to bright indirect light to maintain vivid colors in pink or red varieties. Avoid direct sun, as it wilts the leaves easily.

Watering:
Prefers moderate watering; allow the top 2-3 cm of the substrate to dry before watering again. It is a plant that tolerates a lack of water better than an excess; overwatering will quickly cause root rot.

Humidity:
Adapts well to average household humidity but appreciates higher levels. In winter, or with strong air conditioning, the use of a humidifier will prevent the leaf tips from turning brown.

Temperature:
Maintain in a warm environment, ideally between 18–27 °C. It is very sensitive to cold and can suffer irreversible damage if exposed to temperatures below 15 °C or freezing air drafts.

Pruning:
Requires little pruning; simply remove old or yellowing leaves at the base to keep the plant clean and stimulate the growth of new leaves.
