CÁTALOGO

Dracaena Sanderiana

Commonly known as Lucky Bamboo, it is a popular tropical houseplant, despite not being a true bamboo (it belongs to the Asparagaceae family, like other Dracaenas). It is valued for its cane-like appearance and its symbolism of good fortune, making it a common gift and a widely used indoor plant in 2025.

Key Characteristics & Care

Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light or filtered light. Strong direct sunlight can scorch its delicate leaves. It can survive in low-light conditions, but growth will be slower and variegation may fade.

Watering:
Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged; allow the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Good drainage is essential.

Humidity:
Tolerates dry indoor air but prefers a slightly humid environment. Occasional misting is beneficial.

Temperature:
Maintain in a warm, stable environment; optimal temperatures range between 18–24°C (65–75°F). Protect from cold drafts.

Pruning:
Generally does not require extensive pruning, only the removal of old or wilted leaves. If stems become too tall, they can be cut back, and the cuttings can be propagated in water.
