CÁTALOGO

Aralia Perejil

Is a popular tropical houseplant valued for its finely divided, parsley-like foliage, its air-purifying qualities, and its slow growth habit, making it ideal for containers and indoor spaces. It is considered a medium-difficulty plant and is not recommended for beginners due to its specific humidity and watering requirements.

Key Characteristics & Care

Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Strong direct sunlight can scorch its delicate leaves. An ideal location is near a north- or east-facing window, or several feet away from a south-facing window.

Watering:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. The plant is sensitive to both overwatering (which can cause root rot) and extreme dryness (which leads to leaf drop). Water when the top layer of soil (2–5 cm / 1–2 inches) feels dry to the touch.

Humidity:
High humidity is ideal, as it is a tropical plant. In dry indoor environments, especially during winter, regular misting with non-calcareous water or using a pebble tray is recommended to increase ambient humidity.

Temperature:
Maintain temperatures above 16°C (60°F), with an optimal range of 18–24°C (65–75°F). Highly sensitive to cold drafts; protect from drafty windows or doors.

Pruning:
Responds well to light pruning, which encourages bushier growth and helps maintain its size and shape, making it a popular choice for bonsai cultivation.
