Philodendron Moonlight
Is a popular tropical hybrid houseplant, valued for its bright lime-green foliage that instantly brightens interior spaces, its air-purifying qualities, and its dense, compact growth habit—making it ideal for tabletops and shelving in homes and offices.
Key Characteristics & Care
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light for optimal growth and to maintain its vibrant lime color. It can tolerate medium light but may lose some of its characteristic brightness. Avoid direct sunlight, which can easily scorch the leaves.
Watering:
Keep the substrate evenly moist but never waterlogged. Allow the top 2–3 cm (about 1 inch) of soil to dry between waterings. Overwatering is the main issue, as it can quickly lead to root rot; it is better to underwater slightly than to overwater.
Humidity:
Adapts well to average household humidity levels, but as a tropical plant, it benefits from higher humidity (50% or more). Regularly wiping the leaves with a damp cloth helps keep them healthy and dust-free.
