Dracaena Godseffiana

Is a popular, colorful tropical houseplant known for its unique shrubby habit and elliptical leaves, prized for its striking green foliage splashed with creamy yellow spots, air-purifying qualities, and extreme hardiness, making it perfect for containers or as a tabletop plant.

Key Characteristics & Care:

Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain vibrant variegation but is remarkably tolerant of lower light conditions. Avoid harsh, direct sun, which can cause leaf scorch.

Watering:
Keep soil consistently moist during the growing season; allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. It is more drought-tolerant than other Dracaenas but sensitive to soggy soil and fluoride in tap water.

Humidity:
While it tolerates average indoor humidity, it prefers higher levels. Misting or using a humidifier can help prevent brown leaf tips in dry winter air.

Temperature:
Keep above 16°C (60°F), with 18–24°C (65–75°F) being optimal; protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.

Pruning:
Responds well to pruning, which encourages a fuller, bushier shape. You can prune back the thin stems to your desired height.
