Pothos N'Joy Totem

Pothos N’Joy on a totem is a stunning, vertically-trained version of this beloved cultivar, featuring crisp white and green variegated leaves. While naturally more compact and slower-growing than other pothos, training it on a support encourages its aerial roots to anchor, which can eventually lead to larger leaf development and a more robust, lush appearance.

Key Characteristics & Care:

Light:
Requires bright, indirect light to maintain its striking white variegation. In lower light, the plant may "revert" to solid green as it produces more chlorophyll to compensate for the lack of sun, and its growth will become leggy.

Watering:
Moderate. Allow the top 1–2 inches (2–5 cm) of soil to dry out between waterings. When using a totem, it is highly beneficial to mist the pole itself; this provides moisture directly to the aerial roots, encouraging them to grip the support firmly.

Humidity:
Thrives in higher humidity levels (60–90%) but adapts well to average home environments. Increased humidity is the secret to encouraging the plant to "climb" more aggressively and produce larger leaves over time.

Temperature:
Prefers a warm range between 18–29°C (65–85°F). Keep it away from cold drafts or temperatures below 10°C (50°F), which can cause stress and leaf drop.

Pruning:
Regular pruning helps maintain its shape on the totem. If the vines grow past the top of the support, trim them and propagate the cuttings in water or soil to replant at the base for a fuller look.
