CÁTALOGO

Aglaonema

It is one of the most popular and resilient indoor plants of 2025, prized for its beautifully patterned foliage, exceptional air-purifying qualities, and outstanding adaptability to low-light conditions. This makes it an ideal choice for offices and homes with limited natural light.

Key Characteristics & Care

Light:
Famous for tolerating low light levels, especially dark-green varieties. However, it prefers medium to bright indirect light to maintain vivid coloration in pink or red cultivars. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can easily scorch the leaves.

Watering:
Prefers moderate watering; allow the top 1–1.5 inches (2–3 cm) of the substrate to dry before watering again. It tolerates underwatering better than overwatering, which can quickly lead to root rot.

Humidity:
Adapts well to average household humidity but appreciates higher levels. During winter or in air-conditioned environments, using a humidifier helps prevent brown leaf tips.

Temperature:
Maintain in a warm environment, ideally between 18–27°C (65–80°F). It is highly sensitive to cold and may suffer irreversible damage if exposed to temperatures below 15°C (59°F) or cold drafts.

Pruning:
Requires minimal pruning; simply remove old or yellowing leaves at the base to keep the plant tidy and encourage new growth.
